Unlocking potential AND forming a catalyst
The Helen Bowden Project is focused on a site between Cape Town’s Green Point Stadium and the V&A Waterfront, a prime location. The scheme was initially conceived from a broader analysis of the area followed by a notional urban framework in which the Helen Bowden site formed a catalytic role. The scheme drew on precedent which primarily was based on the Beirut Allies & Morrison project ‘District //S’. The proposal’s core principal was to form an urban fabric rich in pedestrian spaces, open to the public and supported by a variety of uses
