Public-space design around the historic industrial Silo D Quarter · West 8

The design question

How can the public spaces of a historic industrial quarter retain its character while accommodating new development?

My contribution

At West 8, I worked mainly on the public space of the historic industrial landscape around the Silo D Quarter, studying how movement, open space and the industrial fabric could work together.

The value

Public space can organise the experience of a district and help different pieces of development form a legible place.

West 8 team. My contribution: public-space design for the Silo D Quarter within the wider Silvertown Quays project.
