Energieknooppunt De Wildert

Energieknooppunt De Wildert · Dongen, Netherlands

The work gave the technical scenarios a shared spatial setting. It created a basis for comparing possibilities and discussing how energy infrastructure could relate to the landscape and future area development.

Landscape framework and spatial scenarios for De Wildert

The design question

Three energy scenarios — hydrogen, heat and electricity — needed to be understood in spatial terms. The wider question was how infrastructure, landscape, ecology and future development could be considered as one system.

My contribution

As design lead, I worked with a project leader and junior designer to translate the energy question into a flexible landscape framework. I helped develop the spatial scenarios, maps and principles, and jointly facilitated workshops with municipalities and regional partners.

The value

The work gave the technical scenarios a shared spatial setting. It created a basis for comparing possibilities and discussing how energy infrastructure could relate to the landscape and future area development.

Developed at KuiperCompagnons with the project team. My contribution: design leadership, spatial scenarios, landscape framework and workshop facilitation.
